Too hot to handle

I've been quiet HOT lately and I'm just trying to stay cool. The daily temps have been breaking 100˚F in the afternoon carpool lanes-GASP! It's not usually like this around here. Our natural bay area fog usually cools us off. That's why I live here. I get very cranky when I get hot so I've been hiding. BUT here are a few pictures to share. My older daughter who's become an accomplished knitter---leaving me in tangles--- passed along this fun bootie pattern from this site.
this is the original pattern

and this is an adaptation I made up.

and a fun pick of me working on the wedding cake I took to France in my suitcase!

now it's down to the basement to hide...with my sewing machine mind you!

Those booties are so cute. Thanks for sharing the link. I'm into making baby things lately. Hope you survive the heat. I hate it when it gets too hot!

I just LOVE the changes you made to the booties... they look GREAT!

Adorable booties! Seems like you have our weather and we have yours-its been unusually cool here. The heat makes me irritable too.

Sweet booties. Akkk I am sooo hot. I was just in polar fleece last weekend. Hang in there.

I feel your pain with the heat. I am in Antioch and it is currently 102 with a very HIT breeze....YUCK!!!!

Love those little booties. I will have to check out that pattern.

Thanks for sharing.
