A LOT has been happening to this empty nester. I have set up some fun things for the Fall, teaching classes, craft fairs, new sewing projects and then I got asked by Addie's former high school to fill in cooking lunch for their teachers for 2 1/2 weeks while the regular cook is out for a medical proceedure. Well...I'm still cooking 5 weeks later and seems no end in sight. (the regular cook is waiting for tests etc) It's been loads of fun and I get such nice compliments about how tasty everything is---it's great. BUT that doesn't leave me much time to sew! I seem to be balancing OK and I get to go see my girlie(s) this weekend!
these little beauties are becoming potholders...
and some wonky log cabin blocks become these...
this is my next hand pieced project. I tell you these diamonds and hexs are addicting!
and this is a stack for my next quilt. now that I have the pallette what pattern shall I make?
Lovely yellow, gray and brown fabrics. Reminds me of Sunflowers.
How about making "Superstar" from Elizabeth Hartman's The Practical Guide to Patchwork?
Gorgeous potholders too!
